Board members recognized the Spirit of 67 Foundation's role in funding classroom projects, reporting last week's awards totaled roughly $208,000 and later citing a precise figure of $208,054 in grant awards.
"They awarded $208,054 grants that were given last week for the 25‑26 school year," Vice President Megan Engelberg said, noting the awards cover fine arts, language arts, science, STEAM, wellness, world language and SEL projects. District leaders and board members thanked the Spirit and the community fundraisers that supported the grants.
Administrators credited parent organizations and community volunteers for enabling these one‑time enhancements, and said the grants enable projects and teacher innovations across the four schools in District 67.
