District outlines phased renovation to modernize DPM cafeteria and create learning space

"Phase B will modernize the serving area, which includes, new windows, punch out windows in the serving area, new grab and go serving areas," Superintendent Montgomery said, adding that the work will start about eight days after the meeting and that phase C—planned for the following summer—will install a south‑facing wall of glass and exterior access improvements.
Montgomery said phase A had been achieved earlier through donated furniture from the Spirit organization and that the project design aims to allow the cafeteria to serve as a learning space beyond lunch hours. The renovation will include an operable glass wall where the old tech office was located to create breakout and event seating areas.
