District leaders preview finance newsletter, budget video series and upcoming assessment results

"You will notice in your mailbox this week ... the bottom line, which is our commitment annually to have a community newsletter solely dedicated to finance," Dr. Montgomery said, and the administration also unveiled a planned video series on budgeting featuring Dr. Jen Hermas. Montgomery framed both efforts as responses to community requests for clearer information on how taxpayer dollars are spent.
Dr. Fitzsimmons said spring MAP scores have arrived and showed growth in percentiles; the administration reported it has pulled raw IAR data and will present an end‑of‑year assessment report in June. "The MAP scores have come in in the spring and we're really excited about all the growth and the shifts in our percentiles," Fitzsimmons said, while cautioning that a full wrap‑up will follow further analysis.
Board members framed these efforts as ways to improve transparency and to bring comparative peer data into local planning decisions.
