Perryton ISD board upholds administration in Level Three parent-complaint appeal; vote 5-2

The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees on Nov. 13 upheld the administration’s decision on a Level Three parent-complaint appeal, denying the student’s request by a 5-2 vote. President Wes Beal called the special meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; the hearing on the appeal occurred in open session before the board moved to closed deliberations for student information.

Student Nasir Gonzalez presented his side of the complaint during the public hearing, and Assistant Superintendent Brandy Tirey presented the administration’s case, which explained the administration had previously denied the level I and level II complaints.
