Peaster ISD board certifies results of voter-approval tax-rate election

Vice President Jake Bashore moved that the Board of Trustees "adopt the Order Canvassing Returns and Declaring Results of Voter - Approval Tax Rate Election, as presented," and Leanna Stafford seconded; the motion carried 4-0. The minutes record 1,606 votes "For" and 268 votes "Against."
The board recorded the certified returns during the special meeting at the Peaster Administration Building in Weatherford. Administrators present included Dr. Kendra Pittman, superintendent, and Robert Helms, chief financial officer. There were no public speakers during the open forum. The board proceeded from canvassing to adopting a tax rate in the same session.
