Trustees Polk and Harpool sworn after May 2 election; board seats confirmed

The Pilot Point ISD Board of Trustees presented Certificates of Election and administered the Statement of Elected Officer and Oath of Office to Renee Polk (Place 1) and Mark Harpool (Place 2) during the May 13, 2026 meeting. Recording Secretary Angie Price administered the oath and both trustees were seated as duly elected board members.
The trustee canvass motion had been approved earlier in the meeting. The board then proceeded to reorganize officers, electing Renee Polk as Board President, Jacob Stuckly as Vice-President, and Mandy Kirby as Secretary. Nominations were moved and seconded and each officer vote passed unanimously after the new trustee was seated.
The meeting minutes list the vote tallies for the trustee canvass and record Polk’s and Harpool’s certificates and seating as formal steps required by district procedure following the election.
