Pilot Point ISD adopts $25.5 million 2026-27 budget, includes employee compensation plan

The Pilot Point Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the 2026-2027 budget during its June 10 meeting. Chief Financial Officer Brittany Floyd presented the proposal and the board approved the budget by motion of Jacob Stuckly, seconded by Justin Chance.
Floyd told trustees the proposed expenditures are $25,512,834 for the General Fund, $825,000 for the Food Service Fund and $3,272,200 for the Debt Service Fund. "These budget numbers also included an Employee Compensation Plan built to support staff recruitment, retention, and market competitiveness," she said. The board discussed the budget following a public hearing earlier in the meeting and approved it after the review. The approved budget meets the district's statutory requirement to adopt a budget by June 30.
The board also approved year-end budget amendments moving funds into the Unrestricted Fund Balance for General Operating by $2,268,270 and into Food Service by $215,000. CFO Floyd presented a Donation Summary totaling $1,089.55 that the board approved. Financial reports for May 2026 were reviewed and accepted, and the Check Payment List was provided for informational review.
