Independent audit finds no issues for Pewitt CISD

Mr. Lanny Walker of Arnold & Arnold reviewed the district's fiscal audit during the regular board meeting on Oct. 21. "He found no issues or findings therefore giving PCISD a good audit report," Walker told trustees, summarizing the audit's conclusion.
The board received the audit as presented and also heard the quarterly financial report from Chris Cobb, who reviewed revenues, expenditures and answered trustees' questions. The presentation provided context for a subsequent budget amendment approved to cover insurance premiums and for ongoing construction payments related to the district's new elementary school project.
