Superintendent Dr. Kendra Pittman opened the Nov. 21 meeting by congratulating the Peaster football team on a double-overtime Bi-District victory over Comanche and said the team is preparing for the second round of playoffs. Coach McCollough later introduced the cross-country team and recognized Bodee Cato for qualifying for the state meet.
The district also presented Employee of the Month recognitions for several campuses and departments: Renee Oetgen (Elementary), Brandy Higginbotham (Intermediate), Kandace Handy (Junior High), Andrea Hayward (High School), Rebekah Lancaster (Paraprofessional JH) and April Fehrenbah (Transportation). The recognitions were recorded in the meeting minutes but did not require board action.
