Assistant City Manager John Leggy walked council through photos and a facilities overview of the Carrie Robinson Center, describing interior features (stage, projector, kitchen, offices) and limited onsite parking. Leggy said staff viewed mechanical and IT systems and recommended further review of operating and maintenance costs before a formal acceptance.
Marcia Davis, Executive Director of the Housing Authority, told council the authority recently completed roughly $720,000 in rehabilitation and that the property is appraised at $2,800,000. "It is appraised at 2,800,000," Davis said. The authority asked whether the city would accept the deed; council members asked staff to return with an appraisal copy, maintenance estimates and a recommendation to bring the item to an upcoming council agenda.
