Premont ISD trustees approve governance updates, accept resignations and adopt improvement plan

At a Nov. 18, 2024 meeting, the Premont ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Lone Star Governance goal updates, adopted the 2024–25 District Improvement Plan and Campus Improvement Plans, accepted two staff resignations with effective dates, and extended one employee's contract for the 2024–25 school year.
Board President Irma M. Johnson called the Premont Independent School District Board of Trustees to order at 6:31 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2024, and said, "Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551." The meeting took place at the Instructional Support Center (CASE Center) in Premont, Texas.
During the meeting trustees unanimously approved several governance items, including revised Lone Star Governance Goal Progress Measure 3.1 and adoption of Goal Progress Measure 3.2, approved the November CCMR (College, Career, and Military Readiness) Measure 3.1, adopted the 2024–2025 District Improvement Plan (DIP) and Campus Improvement Plans (CIPs), accepted two staff resignations with specified effective dates, and approved a one‑year probationary contract extension for a staff member. The board also convened a closed meeting at 9:55 p.m. and reconvened at 10:48 p.m. before adjourning at 10:50 p.m.
