The board heard several presentations recognizing student achievement across multiple disciplines. Kate Low presented the 'The Salty Stories of Port Aransas' video; Tisha Piwetz presented Legacy of Excellence Champions; Morgan Melde presented valedictorian and salutatorian recognitions; Diane Tucker shared UIL Academic regional and state qualifiers; Danny Reyes presented One Act Play regional qualifiers; Dr. David Swartwout presented Model United Nations accomplishments; and coaches/presenters Kayla Sheffield (tennis), Christine Kreutziger (golf) and Ginger Jones (track) reported on regional and state qualifiers.
The presentations were acknowledgements and celebrations; no formal board action was required. Board members publicly thanked supporting groups such as the Marlin Athletic Booster Club, and the superintendent’s reports later covered enrollment and graduation information.
