NACOGDOCHES ISD board holds team-building training focused on student outcomes

On Oct. 1, 2024, the NACOGDOCHES ISD Board of Trustees met in a special session at the E.J. Campbell District Support Center Annex Board Room. Board President Farshid Niroumand called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. and confirmed a quorum; the board noted the meeting had been posted under the Texas Open Meetings Act.
Dr. Drew Howard, Region 7 ESC Deputy Director, led team-building training that incorporated Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes and distributed Exhibit BBD, "Framework for School Board Development," to board members. Administration in attendance included Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, Deputy Superintendent Michael Martin and multiple assistant superintendents and the chief financial officer; no formal policy actions or votes on district programs were taken during the training session. The board recorded that no public comment requests had been received for the meeting.
