Two separate purchases from CNS Networking Solutions were approved Sept. 12 after being pulled from the consent agenda for discussion. The first motion approved $247,735 to purchase and install fiber to the Ag Barn; the second approved $83,525 to purchase fiber for the relocated Technology Building's data center. Both motions were made by Rev. James Ervin and seconded by James Montoya, and both passed unanimously among trustees present (Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1).
Earlier in the meeting Rev. James Ervin had pulled those two items (C1 and C2) from the consent agenda for separate consideration. The board's subsequent votes complete procurement approval and authorize the business office and technology staff to finalize contracts and proceed with installation.
