The Horry County board approved a special exception allowing on-site, limited alcohol sales at a golf-simulator retail shop at 1763 Highway 17. The applicant said the business will be family-friendly and that any alcohol sales would be limited to canned beverages sold from a display fridge.
Staff recommended conditions similar to other special exceptions limiting outdoor amplified sound or other outdoor activities unless a special-event permit is obtained. The board voted to approve the request with standard staff conditions.
