During committee reports on Aug. 26, 2025, the town engineer and department heads provided multiple updates on infrastructure and operations. The engineer said Phase 1 AMD pay-application comments are finishing and funds should be drawn at the September meeting; 20 of 34 right-of-ways for Phase 2 are in hand and the project is awaiting environmental assessment clearance from OSM with bidding expected by year-end. The Chub Run project remains on hold with a potential Oct. 1 start date, and Phase IV is awaiting DEP environmental clearance for Sandy’s Hardware forcemain work.
Public Works Supervisor Travis Yost reported three drop inlets were placed in Bagwell Addition, drop inlets at RW & Nutter were completed, and a new curb was installed from Edison to Romano; cleanup at the library property was done to improve safety for school pedestrians. Treasurer Leslie Cummings said the Town Hall back-exit stairs were repaired and a new drain installed to reduce flooding; exterior repairs and new top-floor flooring are planned. Staff also reported the new ambulance is "99% ready to go" and has passed inspection; its windshield had been broken and was repaired.
