County sets driveway permit fees and authorizes contract mowing on county roads

The Cayuga County Legislature approved a fee schedule for new driveway installations authorizing per‑foot installed charges tied to pipe size: 12" at $17.50/ft; 15" at $19.50/ft; 18" at $24.50/ft; 24" at $32.50/ft; 30" at $45.50/ft; and 36" at $56.50/ft. The fee schedule was authorized to be collected by the Highway Department to cover pipe and stone cost increases.
The Legislature also authorized the Highway Superintendent to enter agreements with eight towns (Sterling, Springport, Moravia, Sennett, Niles, Summerhill, Venice and Aurelius) to provide mowing of county roads at $340 per centerline mile. The aggregate not‑to‑exceed payment across the listed municipalities is $53,856.
