County clears SEQRA for Emerson Park EV chargers, solar array and funds sewer assessment

The Cayuga County Legislature issued a SEQRA Negative Declaration May 26 for two projects at Emerson Park: installation of three dual‑port networked Level 2 EV charging stations (six ports total) and a ground‑mounted solar array of approximately 16.96 kW to serve the Ward W. O'Hara Agricultural Museum and adjacent park buildings. The Legislature authorized the Chair to sign Part 3 of the SEAF and directed Planning to file the negative declaration with the State Environmental Notice Bulletin.
Separately, the Legislature authorized the Parks & Trails Department to contract with C&S Engineers to produce mapping and an assessment of the park’s wastewater conveyance under EPG2284. The contract was approved not to exceed $66,000, with $38,400 to be reimbursed by the Environmental Facilities Corporation through grant EPG2284 and $27,600 to come from Emerson Park Redevelopment Capital H 21‑02.
