Mosier adopts $7.5 million budget, sets 1.428% tax rate for 2025-26

Mayor Witt Anderson and the Mosier City Council unanimously adopted the FY2025-26 budget of $7.5 million at their June 4 meeting, approving Resolution 2025-05 that implements the spending plan and a separate resolution (2025-06) to receive state revenues. Council also approved a tax rate of 1.428% for the coming fiscal year.
Finance Director Monica Morris told the council the adopted budget emphasizes sustainability and infrastructure investments including wastewater treatment and stormwater management. During the public budget hearing resident Joey Ciprari asked whether skate park funds were included; City Manager Andrea Rogers replied, “There were no funds allocated to the skate park in the budget at this time. If the CUP is approved, it will be added; however, grant funds should cover all costs associated with the project.” Council members voted with no oppositions or abstentions.
