The town’s engineer submitted a written report covering multiple projects. For Phase I AMD, pay-application comments have been addressed and the engineer said a special meeting might be requested to approve a requisition depending on comment-approval timelines.
Phase II AMD final design was submitted by Sept. 1, 2025; the report stated 28 of 34 right-of-ways are secured and the project awaits an environmental assessment clearance from the Office of Surface Mining (OSM) before it can go out to bid by year-end. Chub Run is scheduled to start Nov. 1, 2025; the engineer indicated a change order for a time extension will be presented next month. Phase IV forcemain work also awaits West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) environmental clearance, and an engineering contract is being prepared for the Edison retaining wall project.
