City Planner Jaime Crawford presented a minor amendment to the Transportation System Plan and zoning code proposing an alternative street section that incorporates planter/bioswale elements to help meet stormwater targets while providing flexibility in design. Crawford told the council the amendment is consistent with Mosier's comprehensive plan and statewide planning goals and that the ordinance was read in full with adoption set for a June 4 hearing.
Council members discussed sidewalk width and ADA compliance within the proposed section and were asked to disclose any conflicts of interest; staff clarified the process is legislative and citywide so recusal was not required. Crawford recommended adoption and staff will return with the ordinance at the next hearing.
