Nutter Fort treasurer reports festival planning, water-line repairs and required hydrant testing

Treasurer Leslie Cummings briefed the council on several operational items at the Sept. 9 meeting. She said Halloween Fall Festival planning meetings will be held every Wednesday at 2 p.m., and approximately 15 vendors have signed up so far. The town is continuing sidewalk repairs at Town Hall, she added.
Cummings said water-line repairs and an extension are scheduled to begin the first week of October 2025. She also reported that BowSel conducted fire-hydrant testing the weekend of Sept. 5, 2025, noting the testing is required by the West Virginia Public Service Commission. No funding amounts or contractor costs were specified in the minutes.
