No one appeared for the public-comment slot on lead pipes, but Mayor Rezin Hudkins told the council the town is now in compliance following a lead pipe inspection conducted prior to the meeting.
Hudkins said no issues were found and that town staff first became aware of the violation on July 2, 2025. He reported the town reached compliance as of the morning of Aug. 12, 2025, and there were no findings to disclose to the public at the meeting.
Council took no formal action on the matter during the session but the mayor’s statement places the inspection matter in a closed status until the town releases further documentation, if any.
