Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix told the council about a working fire on Pennsylvania Avenue that occurred Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
He said the Nutter Fort Fire Department responded with five pieces of apparatus and received mutual-aid support from Stonewood and Bridgeport fire departments. The family’s dog was rescued and the house was saved; Chief Haddix expressed appreciation for the support provided by a public works employee identified as Jake.
