Nutter Fort approves $10,000 budget for Fall Festival; Thrasher Engineering pledges $1,400 for power hookups

The Town of Nutter Fort’s council approved a $10,000 budget for the Fall Festival scheduled Oct. 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Councilor Charlene Louk said the previous year’s expenses were “around” $10,000 and moved to set this year’s budget at that amount; Councilor Karen Phillips seconded and the motion passed unanimously on roll call. Council discussed the need for three additional power pole installations; Sam Maxson reported that Thrasher Engineering pledged a $1,400 donation toward those hookups.
Staff noted the budget figure is already included in the town’s adopted budget for the fiscal year. Festival organizers will meet again Aug. 13 at 2:00 p.m. in council chambers to finalize logistics.
