Committee OKs four Community Benefit Fund awards totaling $18,500 for local schools, youth and recreation

Ashley Carroll presented four Community Benefit Fund requests and the committee approved all four. She described the first award as $5,000 for the Loris High School Football Parents Club to purchase equipment and provide player packs and meals: "It's a total of $5,000 from districts 4, 9, and 10."
Other approved awards included $500 for Long Bay Youth Enrichment Center (after-school programming), $3,000 for maintenance along Carolina Forest Boulevard, and $10,000 to assist a Green Sea U15 softball team with travel costs to the Dixie World Series. The committee approved the motions by voice vote.
