Horry County CAPER: $1M+ in homeowner rehab, dozens assisted through housing programs

Beth Tran summarized the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Horry County HOME Consortium, saying the county spent just over $1,000,000 on homeowner rehabilitation this year: "we spent just over 1000000 dollars for our homeowner rehabilitation program."
Tran listed program outputs: 22 rehabs completed and 8 in progress (30 homes), United Way's Thrive served 199 people, ECHO's eviction mitigation assisted 102 people, Helping Hand assisted 109 for rent and utilities, Neighbor-to-Neighbor provided 64 rides and pantry services, and ESG funds assisted 98 homeless people. The CAPER notice will be published in local newspapers and posted to the county website; three public hearings will be held the week of August 18 before full-council action on September 2.
