Council members approved an ordinance (Ordinance No. 39-2025, Section 1) to amend the fiscal-year 2026 budget to recognize additional revenues and expenditures. Staff said the amendment would "add 4 positions to the behavioral services department, from excess ARPA revenue" and add three library positions funded by additional state aid; capital plan changes include Murrells Inlet dredging and a Windy Hill EMS station, and fees for tire disposal were adjusted to reflect state law.
The motion to approve was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote during the committee meeting. Staff asked for council's consideration of the changes as part of the FY26 ordinance.
