Recorder Natalie Haddix unlocked and unloaded the ballot box in council chambers and read the tallies. After counting the provisional ballot, the mayoral result was read as Rezin Hudkins with 124 votes, Garth Beck 43 and Walt Lanham 45. Recorder Natalie Haddix's total was reported as 170 votes. Councilor Charlene Louk, Shawn Spurlock and Sam Maxson were among candidates listed as winners for council seats; the fire levy tally was read as For 154, Against 51.
Council confirmed the provisional ballot followed procedures in WV Code 3-2-31 and added it to the official totals with assistance from poll commissioner Kandi Atkinson. The council then reviewed and approved the statement of ballots used on June 10, 2025. If no recount is requested within 48 hours, the council will reconvene at 6:30 p.m. on June 18, 2025 to certify the results.
