Cherokee County board raises pay for three Health Department nurses to $25 an hour

Health Department Administrator Peyton Kessler outlined the department's duties and the grant programs managed by nursing staff before the votes. According to the minutes, "Commissioner Frazier moved to increase Becky Mogle's salary to $25.00 per hour effective immediately." Identical motions were recorded for Melody Nelson and Kathy Dugger.
The board did not record additional implementation details such as when the increases will first appear on paychecks or whether the raises are funded from general county revenue or a grant; the minutes state only that the increases are "effective immediately." County Deputy Clerk Michelle Mosler was present for the session and the motions were recorded as unanimous (three yes votes).
