Committee confirms three nominees to Board of Library Trustees

Chair Matt Fruman moved the confirmations en banc for three nominees to the Board of Library Trustees and the committee approved the motions by voice vote.
Fruman recommended Donella Brockington for a second and final term, describing her as chair of the board's finance and budget committee with private-sector executive experience. "Based on her background, experience, and leadership throughout her 1st term on the board, I believe Ms. Brockington should be reappointed to the Board of Library Trustees," he said.
Fruman also introduced Holly Flood, a Ward 1 resident who works as a grants and corporate relations specialist at Christ House and has prior federal service, and Christy C. Whitfield, a Ward 5 resident and former director at the Department of Small and Local Business Development who now works at the Nathan Cummings Foundation. Fruman said each nominee's background made them "an asset to the board." The committee voted "aye" on the committee prints for the three confirmation resolutions; the motions passed and will be reported to the full Council.
