Appraiser requests executive session; commissioners approve overtime to fix appraisal error

Appraiser Truette McQueen asked the commissioners for an executive session during the Sept. 9 meeting. On a motion by Commissioner D. D. Malmberg (seconded by Commissioner Malmberg in the minutes), the board approved a 15-minute executive session to discuss non-elected personnel, which included commissioners, McQueen and County Clerk Heather Maddox.
Later in the meeting the board approved overtime for the appraiser’s office to address an identified error. The overtime approval was passed by motion of Commissioner Malmberg, seconded by Commissioner Mortimer, by unanimous vote.
