Cherokee County commissioners approve prior minutes, payroll and payables

At an Oct. 10 meeting, the Board of Cherokee County Commissioners unanimously approved the Oct. 6 minutes, county payroll and payables after motions by Commissioner Cory Moates and seconding by Commissioner Jack Garner.
Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier called the regular session of the Board of Cherokee County Commissioners to order at 8:00 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2025, and the meeting opened with a prayer by County Commissioner Cory Moates followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Cory Moates moved to approve the minutes from the Oct. 6, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Jack Garner seconded and the motion "passed unanimously." The board then approved payroll and payables in separate motions (Moates moved payroll; Garner moved payables), each seconded and each recorded as passed unanimously. The approvals authorize release of the payroll and payment of vendor invoices included in the meeting packet.
