Staff outlines early review for ‘Dixon 89’ industrial proposal

Community Development Director Raffy Boyle briefed the commission on an early industrial project submitted late last year called "Dixon 89," a name derived from its roughly 89-acre site.
"Dixon 89 is an industrial project that we received in late last year," Boyle said. He explained the proposal includes two large industrial buildings on roughly 45 acres and the remainder carved into multiple commercial lots, and that the site currently has general plan, zoning and a specific plan designations that align in the northeast quadrant. Boyle said the project is in early review; the city will need to complete SEQUEL (CEQA) review and bring applicants through design and entitlements as details and potential tenants are developed.
Staff said they will help manage environmental review and consider sequencing of infrastructure and permits as the applicants refine the submittal.
