Council and staff discussed scheduling a February work session to review the Lakes Area Police Department (LAPD) building project; staff emphasized it was important that all five council members attend because the packet will include building-committee recommendations and a FIT study. The mayor and staff settled on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 5:00 p.m. as the proposed date and time.
Councilors said the work session will focus on balancing police operational needs and cost-effectiveness in the recommended remodel and that staff will provide additional background materials in the meeting packet. Staff also said they would circulate the commission's report and consultant fit study in advance to give councilors time to review.
