Ottawa County Appraiser Truette McQueen told the commission that any proposal for a wind farm in the county would need to go through the zoning process before being considered. McQueen framed zoning review as a prerequisite to moving forward on wind-energy projects in the county.
McQueen also raised a personnel concern, objecting to language in the minutes that she said suggested an error in the appraiser's office led to overtime. She stated, "The mistake was not caused by the appraiser’s office." Commissioner D. D.
