Sedan council offers two Street Laborer positions; starting wages set

Angela Evans moved to offer Matthew Smith a Street Laborer position starting at $15.00 per hour; Pam Koerner seconded the motion, which the council carried. Kathy Miller then moved to offer John Hutton a Street Laborer position starting at $18.00 per hour; Angela Evans seconded and the motion carried.
The decisions came at the end of a special meeting that began at 5:30 PM and included multiple executive sessions under K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1) for matters pertaining to the terms and conditions of employment. The minutes list interviewees as John Hutton, Matthew Smith and Casey Spurlock and note that Caleb Ironsyde was retained to conduct interviews in executive session.
