City Administrator reminds public of Veterans Day closure; councilmember reports EMS budget concerns

City Administrator Jeremiah Hoyt told the council that City Hall will be closed on Veterans Day and encouraged attendance at the Veterans Day assembly at 10:00 A.M. on Nov. 11, 2025. "Hoyt wanted to remind everyone that City Hall will be closed on Veterans Day and encouraged everyone to attend the Veterans Day assembly at 10:00 A.M. on November 11, 2025," the meeting record states.
Councilmember Todd Weimer reported he attended an EMS meeting and said the city is not alone in attempting to cut costs; boards at that meeting expressed concerns about budgets and continuing to provide services with less revenue. Weimer also congratulated new council members and returning member Kay Smith; Teresa Tuetken was recorded as absent from the Nov. 10 meeting.
