City administrator reports progress on comprehensive plan; resident praises new pool playground

City Administrator told the council that ECOG consultant Tom Groose has tabulated results for the comprehensive plan and is working on a final report; staff will schedule additional steering and strategic planning meetings to review the findings. The administrator said the group will provide material to the council in follow-up meetings.
During the public-comment portion not on the agenda, Tom Durgin — speaking as a park board member and downtown property owner — praised the new playground at the pool: “It is absolutely incredible, and I hope we can continue to upgrade some of our areas with new playground equipment because it's really nice.” The chair echoed the positive feedback and thanked Park Rec and the board for the work.
