Committee approves several IT licensing renewals and directs vetting of chamber audio bids

IT Director B. Sikes presented vendor contracts and licensing renewals for county IT systems. The committee authorized a renewal with SHI for Veeam backup software not to exceed $10,066.56 (MUNIS #3939), a Palo Alto renewal not to exceed $44,019.24 (MUNIS #3948) and a walk-in authorization for Exchange Online licensing renewal with SHI not to exceed $50,000 (MUNIS #3953). An overnight travel authorization was approved for Sikes to attend the NYSLGITDA conference Oct. 7–9, 2026.
Sikes also presented proposals for new audio equipment for the Supervisors’ Chambers with vendor bids ranging from $35,000 to $63,000. The committee authorized Sikes to proceed with vetting the two mid-range solutions with input from the County Administrator and County Attorney. Separately, supervisors scheduled a meeting to discuss cooling solutions for the Fire Training Center server room with Buildings & Grounds, IT, County Administrator and sheriff’s office representatives.
