She said the city's contracted hauler, GFL, collects the remaining parking-lot containers on Thursdays and the city is working with GFL to identify more frequent pickup times. On infrastructure, Wagner reported a gas-line strike on South On 169 and that work "may be done by the end of the week" with a goal of completion by Friday. Wagner also said the city made five conditional employment offers pending standard background checks, highlighted a senior-center award received by local staff, and reminded the board that city hall will be closed next Thursday and Friday and the following Thursday and Friday for the Christmas holidays.
Wagner asked residents and staff to avoid leaving additional recycling outside full dumpsters to keep sites clean while pickup schedules are worked out.
