Council members press administration on under-implementation of private-security camera rebate program

Allen said he was "shocked" the administration had not implemented the law and cited low issuance of vouchers and rebates as evidence of under-implementation.
Chair Brooke Pinto said she could not speak for the administration but confirmed the committee had repeatedly urged implementation. Pinto noted underutilization of the program and suggested that, if the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) continues to resist implementation, housing the program in a different agency might improve access for businesses.
