NextEra Energy outlines early-stage solar and battery projects, schedules public meeting

Christian said NextEra would hold public input meetings and confirmed a session that day at McCrory Gardens from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. "She’s here today to ensure the county has a battery ordinance in place as well as a solar ordinance," the minutes record. Following that presentation, resident Sue Englemann asked the commission for an immediate moratorium on energy projects prior to a September filing to the state Public Utilities Commission.
