Staff member Caleb Ironsyde told the council he noticed a shipping container at the ball fields placed where the recreation department had approved a batting cage without proper city approval. Adam Clark directed Ironsyde to contact Shawn Scott to determine whether the container belongs to the city or a private party.
Ironsyde also reported meeting with Cameron Williams at the lake to discuss new docks; he said work is scheduled to begin Aug. 20, 2025. The council did not record a formal motion related to the shipping container during this meeting but asked staff to investigate ownership and report back.
