The Morristown Town Council on Feb. 25 administered the oath of office to Jason Carter, who was sworn in by Town Attorney Briane House in the Fire Station Training Room. President Ralph Henderson and council members Kristi Langkabel, Dave Benefiel and Larry Tracy were present.
The council completed routine business after the swearing-in, approving minutes of the Feb. 11 meeting and claims for payment on motions by Council Member Larry Tracy and seconded by Council Member Dave Benefiel; both motions carried 5-0. The session also included a clarification about Plan Commission membership: Town Attorney Briane House said the commission may include only three council members, and Larry Tracy volunteered to step down once a citizen member is appointed to replace Jason Carter's previous role.
