The New Castle Community School Board of Trustees used part of its June 8 meeting to honor longtime employees and present a Trojan Award of Excellence.
Board members recognized Chris Jolley for 50 years of service in the music department and named him for the Trojan Award of Excellence. The board also acknowledged retirees Amy Blake (33 years in Special Education), Kirk Amman (32 years total; 20 years outside New Castle and 12 years with New Castle Schools), Gail Edwards (33 years, Eastwood/School Support Specialist), and Leah Melton (21 years, HR Specialist).
Board members spoke in tribute to the honorees and thanked them for their service. No formal actions were taken beyond the recognitions.
