Selectboard Chair Charlie Hancock reported that he, Liz and Erin met with representatives from MERP (Municipal Energy Recovery Program) to clarify what construction allowances are eligible under the program for the planned PSB renovation. The minutes indicate the next step is to review the project budget with staff members referred to as 'Chi' and David to determine eligibility of particular costs.
Separately, the board directed that the Town Office server transition be put out to bid. Staff noted a potential funding approach: if the town moves to a cloud server, that could eliminate the need for a temperature-controlled server room in the renovated building, and the board is exploring whether that work could be charged to MERP grant funds. The minutes do not record any final decisions about applying MERP funds to server costs.
