County renews $30,000 recruitment contract for Sheriff’s Office advertising

Commissioner Alice Yoder moved to approve the renewal; Commissioner Joshua G. Parsons seconded. The agreement is for $30,000 from March 4, 2026, through September 3, 2026, and is funded from the Sheriff’s Office Operating Budget. The motion passed unanimously.
County staff presented the renewal as a recruitment tool to increase deputy applicant engagement. Trevor Roberts (identified in the meeting roster as owner of Cross & Crown) was listed among attendees; no public opposition or alternative proposals were recorded at the meeting.
