The Village of South Range Council directed its Personnel Committee to develop options for hiring a part‑time office employee following a report from Clerk Kristen Archambeau about an upcoming software migration and the current lack of backup for daily office tasks. Archambeau told the council the new software will require periodic closures, including May 5–9, and she said she would be willing to move to part time to allow a second person to be added to the office.
President Eakin emphasized the volume of work the clerk’s office handles and presented sample job descriptions from other clerks as context for adding support. The Personnel Committee—Trustees Marier, Korby and Parolini—is scheduled to meet Dec. 30 to produce hiring options for council consideration.
