South Range treasurer reports 15.1127 mills, $214,355.42 collected and $27,815.50 delinquent

The Village of South Range treasurer reported that the 2024 property tax millage rate is 15.1127 mills — broken out as General 12.183700 and Local Street 2.929000 — and that the village's taxable value rose to $15,769,749.
"The Treasurer's Report said that the 2024 property tax millage rate was 15.1127 mills (General, 12.183700; Local Street, 2.929000). The taxable value is $15,769,749.00 which is up from last year's value of $15,124,630.00," the report states. Of $243,373.03 in total taxes, $214,355.42 was collected and $27,815.50 were delinquent; delinquent water totaled $1,202.11.
Following the report, the council voted to transfer collected taxes from the Agency Fund: $169,897.63 to Local Street, $40,843.93 to the General Fund and $2,143.55 as the 1% collection fee. Trustees unanimously approved the transfer.
